White House Decries 'Democrat Hoax' as More Epstein Estate Photos Released
House Democrats have released a fresh batch of what they labeled "alarming" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 photographs—some of which have been previously circulated—plus another 70 issued later on Friday represent a small number of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The shamed investor died by apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking charges.
Notable Figures in the Photos
Among the notable figures visible in the initial batch are celebrities including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are blacked out.
Administration Response
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "cherry-picking" the pictures for partisan aims and to "seek to establish a false narrative."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative remarked, asserting that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by consistently demanding disclosure, releasing thousands of pages of papers, and urging further investigations into Epstein's Democratic associates."
Panel Member Comment
The photos were published without context, but per a California Democrat and ranking member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's links with wealthy individuals.
"Now is the occasion to stop this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a comment.
The disclosure of these materials coincides with the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the affair.
